At Doodle Bugs, we want your child to experience the fun of creative, messy play through experimenting with amongst other things; paint, playdough, collage, drawing and cutting.
Each session will usually consist of 5 separate stations:
A modelling station
A drawing / colouring station
A paint table & painting easels
The Tuff Spot
The activity table
The modelling station will usually be playdough or salt dough, but we may choose something different every now and then! This table will also include rollers, cutters, extruders and other modelling tools.
The drawing and colouring station will be an opportunity to explore crayons, felt tips and chalks and sometimes other drawing media. This table will also include some suprises to help your little one discover the delight of drawing!
Painting easels will be set up with a variety of coloured paints and sometimes chalk too! The painting station will also be available with a chance for printing with sponges, rollers, fingers/hands/feet, foam stumps (especially for our smallest hands!) and other exciting activities to be discovered weekly!
The Tuff Spot is especially designed for even the youngest of children to explore 'messy' materials safely and easily. Situated on the floor, it is large enough for up to 6 children to squish, squeeze, smear, taste and splat whatever we have decided to fill it with! This will change each session and may include; jelly, pasta, sloppy sand and more!
The activity table will be set up with a different activity each week - often relating to a topical theme or event. The activity at this table will be supervised by one of the Doodle Bugs team who will help you and your child with the activity.
Each session will be supervised by the Doodle Bugs team, who are there to support you with your child during the activities. At Doodle Bugs we believe that the creative process is more important than the final product, however your child will create unique art work which they will be able to take home at the end of each session.
